Introduction: #
The Army AVD remote environment is different than the old direct login method via commercial internet you are familiar with since 2020 known as FLOW 3. To use Army AVD, you must register. Army AVD is not automatic. The guide below will assist you in enrolling. We recommend you do this from a NIPRNet computer to avoid any issues or complications. Additionally, you will need access to your government email.
Issue: #
You are a United States Army Corps of Engineer or USACE employee and you would like to access the Army AVD remote work environment.
Resolution: #
Unfortunately USACE users cannot access Army AVD without an Army email. If you do not have an email that ends in ‘army.mil’ you cannot register for the Army AVD program.
If you do not have an email that ends in ‘army.mil’ you cannot register for the Army AVD program. Each organization is it’s own tenant or environment and only those working in that organization have access to that environment. Typically, your email indicates what tenant you have access to use. For example: socom.mil users have access to the SOCOM environment and army.mil users have access to the Army environment. No crossing the streams…data streams.
Some users will have access to more than one tenant like those who work for the Defense Health Agency might have a health.mil email, but will also have an army.mil email granting them access to Army AVD. Check with your S6 or visit the Army Enterprise Service Managed Platform (AESMP).
