Introduction #
You have successfully enrolled into the Army AVD problem but are experiencing issues.
Issue #
Upon login to the AVD workspace and you are presented with a “Please wait for the Windows Search” message. You may see this error displayed When attempting to login to the Army AVD environment.
Resolution #
To resolve the error ‘Please wait for the Windows Search’, please follow these steps:
- Just a little patience…yeah: Axel Rose and the band might have been on to something. Give it a little time and see if the connection rectifies itself.
- Server Selection: After a long wait you might get booted or have to kill the application. Tech happens. Try the other server.
- Update, Update, Update: always ensure you are running the most up-to-date version of your operating system (OS) and applications:
- Update your computer’s OS
- Update the Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) application
- Update your antivirus
- Reset, Reset, Reset: you cannot go wrong with a little reset
- Reset your application
- Reset your computer
- Reset your internet connection
- Resource Refresh: we recommend that you refresh your server resource at least twice a month, but as frequent as once a week. You will have to refresh for each server workspace. There are two servers.
- Recreate the Certificate: If there are issues with the current certificate, try creating a new one and upload it again. This issues happens on MacOS systems and you will have to go into the key chain to delete the identity certificate. See below.
- Contact AESMP to Submit a Ticket: Sometimes you have to leave it to the professionals who have administrative access to square you away.
