Introduction #
You have installed the Microsoft App Remote Desktop Software and your set-up has more than one monitor. Will it work?
Problem #
You have access to more than one monitor in your office setup and would like to use those monitors with the Microsoft Remote Desktop application for Army AVD access.
Resolution #
Yes. You need to edit your setting before you connect to your selected server. Here are the general directions:
Microsoft Windows #
For Windows do the following:
- Do no login to your AVD Workspace
- Select settings
- Go down to ‘display settings’
- Click on the drop down and select ‘all displays’
- Ensure ‘single display when in windowed mode’ is not selected
- Ensure ‘fit session to window’ is selected
We are pending an image of the Windows application.
macOS #
For macOS do the following:
- Do no login to your AVD Workspace
- Right-click on the server image (either an icon or an image of your last session)
- Select ‘edit’
- Clock the box indicating ‘custom settings’
- Click on ‘use all monitors’ (only use if your MacBook does not automatically extend your display)
- Click on ‘start session in full screen’ only if that is a preference
